The very definition of actively involved!
Alfred Liu, Solicitor
I recently took part in a Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for our Charities of the Year: Auditory Verbal UK and Friends of the Elderly. The Challenge involved a gruelling 24.5 mile, 12 hour trek over some of Yorkshire’s most unforgiving terrain - with an overall ascent of 1586m (The Shard is 306m!). Tough going but more than worth it for two such great causes. And you know what, I genuinely enjoyed it!
The firm’s brilliant at organising events like this. As well as meeting new colleagues, you get to try something different, something outside your comfort zone maybe. We all pulled together and supported each other – pretty good going when you consider that many of us were just meeting for the first time. And of course, you’re doing your bit and helping to raise money and awareness for our chosen charities.
There was a very real sense of camaraderie throughout the Challenge, which is definitely an extension of the firm's culture. So would I recommend it? Absolutely!
